Da Nang sits on a 30 km stretch of coastline that rivals anywhere in Southeast Asia. The city is growing fast, but the beaches remain clean, uncrowded by regional standards, and stunningly beautiful. Unlike many Asian beach towns, Da Nang is a real city — you get world-class sand and excellent restaurants, nightlife, and culture.
Named one of the most beautiful beaches on the planet by Forbes. Soft white sand stretches for kilometers, gentle waves lap at the shore, and five-star resorts line the backdrop. The beach is best at sunrise — local fishermen haul in their catch while joggers hit the sand and tai chi groups practice in the golden light.
At the southern end of the strip, near the Marble Mountains. Fewer tourists, more locals, and great surfing between September and March. Several beachside seafood restaurants serve the day's catch grilled over charcoal — order whatever the fisherman brought in that morning.
A hidden cove at the base of Sơn Trà Peninsula. Rocky, wild, and breathtakingly beautiful. No resorts, no crowds — just you, the sea, and the sound of waves crashing against ancient rocks. Accessible by motorbike from the city center (20 minutes on a winding coastal road).
Not technically a beach, but the coastal road around this mountain peninsula is jaw-dropping. Pull over at any viewpoint for panoramic views of the city, the coastline, and — if you're lucky — the endangered red-shanked douc langurs in the treetops. They're one of the world's most beautiful primates and found nowhere else.
March–August is beach season with hot, sunny days and calm seas. September–November brings rain and surf — great for experienced surfers but less ideal for sunbathing. Avoid December–February if you want guaranteed sunshine — it can be surprisingly cool and overcast.
